About

My artistic curiosity got the better of me when I discovered a beautiful pair of handmade earrings at an art fair in Florida.  Loving metal and all things natural, I was intrigued with the design and the fabrication skills that went into creating these pieces.  This gave birth to my passion for jewelry design using precious metals as the cornerstone of my bijoux.  I began my journey in metalsmithing and design by attending the Carrboro College of Arts in North Carolina in 2010, and ongoing with Metal Heart Jewelry in Minneapolis.  Along the way I fell in love with Argentium® Silver for its natural beauty, purity and hypoallergenic quality.  It is important to me that Argentium® Silver is friendly to our environment as it is produced from 100% recycled sterling silver.

My vision is to create pieces that are classic; with clean lines that reflect the pure beauty of the metal I use.  My goal is to make timeless pieces that are both beautiful and functional that will be treasured for years to come.

Ideas are sketched and planned for each piece, but often during the creation process new design elements or a different technique will come to mind which can change the original concept.  I love the hammered look you will notice in my work.  It brings an organic and natural feel to the pieces along with shimmering facets to the metal.

All Amzara jewelry is made by my hand, using Argentium® Silver and each unique piece reflects my attention to detail and devotion to quality.  I enjoy the delicate and intricate techniques involved in bringing my creations to life. My interest in design, metalsmithing, and the many tools used to create each piece of art continues to grow and fascinate me.  Each day is a new learning experience and a fulfilling adventure!
